Running Start Info Sessions
Students who are interested in learning more about the Running Start program and the process of signing up for the 2026-2027 school year should attend an information session on one of the following days in the auditorium:
- Thursday Feb. 26 at lunch
A virtual family Running Start info session will take place on Thursday April 2 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and will be mandatory for all families with students who will participate in Running Start in the next school year. Running Start is an optional program that allows students in 11th and 12th grade to take college courses at Washington’s 2-year and technical colleges and receive high school and college credit at the same time. Running Start tuition is free. Students just need to pay for books, class fees, and transportation to the college. Students eligible for Free or Reduced Lunch can have a fee waiver to reduce some of the fees. See the Running Start page for more info.

Counseling Services
Cleveland STEM School Counselors offer academic, career and personal/social support for students. This includes:
- Individual and small group counseling
- Classroom lessons
- Intervention for attendance and coursework issues
- Confidential referrals to outside agencies
- High school class registration and planning
- Class changes and waiver requests
- Summer courses guidance/ Credit Retrieval/ On-line courses for first time credit
- Post-high school planning through career and college guidance lessons in Naviance
- Student and Family Events
- Scholarship and financial aid information
- Serves on Student Intervention Team
- Serves on the College Career Leadership Institute
- Serves on the Building Leadership Team
