The PSAT & SAT Complete List of Information Needed

Before taking the PSAT or the SAT
- The Details: Wed, October 21, 8:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (extending sessions may be longer based on approved accommodations).
  - Locatons TBD (announced during Advisory and posted outside the Main Office)
- Who can take What: All Juniors (PSAT) and Seniors (SAT). Free.
  - Juniors who want to take the SAT: Must sign up with College Board. It will be on a Saturday and you will need to pay the $68 fee.
- Why take the PSAT/SAT: Gives access to additional eligibility for scholarships, some colleges require an SAT score. Good practice for professional exams in trades, college, certifications. It’s free!

Important steps to complete BEFORE October 19, 2026
- College Board Account: Make a Collage Board account and make sure you can log in.
- Important Bluebook App Info: NO personal Laptops Allowed. Do Not install the Bluebook App on your Student Login!
  - Get and SPS Laptop (Room 113, 9 – 11 a.m. M-F)
  - Log in the Secure Browser: Username: CBBLUEBOOK. Password: college. Select install.
- Updates & Login: Restart your laptop at least 2x in the week before the exam. Log into your College Board account at least 2 days before the exam and write down your password.

During the Exams
- Breaks (including bathroom)
  - Everyone gets at least 1 break between Part 1 and Part 2 of the exam. You will lose time for additional breaks unless it is part of a pre-approved accommodation. Bathroom breaks can be take during the regularly scheduled exam break or as needed. Note: The exam Time will not stop during unscheduled breaks.
- What to Bring (and Not)
  - Electronics of ANY kind are not allowed during the exam. Only your school laptop, pencil/pen, water bottle and a snack are allowed at your desk.
- What to expect during the exam
  - Part 1: Reading & Writing, Part 2: Math
    - You are graded only on the questions you complete (therefore unanswered questions won’t help or hurt your score)
- Accommodations: If you have and IEP, 504 Plan or are a Multilingual Learner you may qualify for accommodations. Watch for an email notification from Ms. Kayla Barr.

After the Exams
- Early dismissal after the Exam: If your parent/guardian completed the Family Attendance Survey by 3:40 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, 2026. The survey will be sent directly to parent/guardians via Talking Points and the Weekly Family Newsletter from Principal Lam also on the school website.

Score Reports: Choose to send scores to college (during the exam), Most scores are released 2 – 4 weeks.
- 3 Options for getting your score report: Use test registration number from your sign-in ticket to log in. Download BigFuture app and sign in (must give cell phone number during exam to do this) or Email Kayla Barr; klbarrgraham@seattleschools.org AFTER November 30, 2026.

Make Up Sessions
- Thursday, October 22, 8:50 a.m., Room 1201
- Thursday, October 29, 8:50 a.m., Room 1201
- Friday, October 30, 8:50 a.m., Room 1201
