Cleveland Publications took 1st Place in two categories and nabbed two Honorable Mentions in writing at the JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in Chicago on Nov. 3.

CPub's former Editor-in-Chief, Tina Dang, was named Photojournalist of the Year - the highest honor in the photography category! Dang was a member of the staff for three years, working her way up from Design Director to EIC. She is now a freshman at the University of Washington.

Dang, along with junior Francis Nguyen, also took first place in Newspaper Page Design - the same category CPub won last year - for the Monopoly-themed spread in the June edition of the newspaper. The staff won Honorable Mentions in Story of the Year and Editorial of the Year.

Cleveland's revitalized journalism program is in its 10th year. The group is led by media teacher, Teresa Scribner.
