Admissions News and Events
School Choice for 2017-18
School choice forms are available on the School Choice and Forms webpages until May 31. Forms submitted after Open Enrollment (after Feb. 24) are late, do not receive priority tiebreakers, and are much less likely to result in your student being assigned to the school (or program) of your choice. The results of Open Enrollment are now available through the Assignment Lookup Tool.
School Choice Inquiries
Disputes involving school choice are handled through Admissions inquiry process starting April 17. The inquiry form Opens a New Window. is used for families to request that Admissions review their student’s School Choice form if there is a concern that it was not properly processed. The inquiry form is not used to dispute an assignment as a result of Open Enrollment; those disputes will be handled through the transfer appeal process starting June 1.
Admissions is continuing to accept School Choice forms through May 31. Waitlists for the 2017-18 school year will dissolve on August 31.
Please send all Inquiry Forms to firstname.lastname@example.org
Kindergarten Jump Start
Is your school offering Kindergarten Jump Start? Jump Start is a free kindergarten transition program held each morning Aug. 21-25. Your school will send Jump Start registration information, or you can complete this form and return it to your child’s school. Click this link to learn more about Jump Start.
Registration for 2017-18
New student admission forms are available online and in-person at the JSCEE Admission Center. Once registered, your child will receive an initial assignment to their attendance area school. To apply for option schools and/or other attendance area schools, you must submit a school choice form.
